The 24th Annual Nights of Lights will again dazzle the city throughout the 2016/2017 season as somewhere around three million lights adorn every corner of the historic district for two months!
This award-winning holiday lights display runs from November 18, 2017, to January 31, 2018, in historic St. Augustine! Busiest of all with the events is the month of December.
Just a Couple of Events to Remember During the St Augustine Nights of Lights Season
Always on the second weekend of December, all of St. Augustine’s finest historic inns open their doors for tour-goers to walk through and observe their magical Christmas-themed décor.
If that wasn’t exciting enough, each inn partners with a premier St Augustine Restaurant so you can and sample their menus to top off your visit!
Because there are so many inns to view, they split up geographically allowing guests to tour half of them on Saturday and the other half on Sunday. Due to the increasing popularity of the tour, this year the St Augustine Bed and Breakfast Tour has added Monday.

That second Saturday in December is one busy day and evening!
Just after the tour settles and dark falls, we really showcase our St Augustine Nights of Lights Celebration throughout downtown!
The Annual Regatta of Lights
Our Annual Regatta of Lights cranks up along the seawall between the Bridge of Lions and close to the Castillo de San Marcos right about dark!
This is a show that takes St. Augustine’s world-famous Nights of Lights onto the water, with an amazing variety of vessels showing off their brilliant lighting displays as they parade along Matanzas Bay!
Hosted by the St. Augustine Yacht Club, it’s a real dazzling sight for spectators!
From sailboats to trawlers, from yachts to shrimp boats, the Regatta of Lights participants compete for awards for the best theme, most colorful, best in class and best overall. The Regatta is an annual must-see event for visitors and locals alike during St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights holiday festivities.
This event reflects the maritime roots and rich nautical heritage of St. Augustine. To view this nautical parade, visitors can sit along the bayfront by the seawall or enjoy the view from the many restaurants that face the bay.
This is a completely FREE event to all! The show starts at 6:00 p.m. promptly!
