Wednesday, April 11

Historical Look into the Old Spanish Quarries

Anastasia State Park will host a Historical Look into the Old Spanish Quarries program from 10-11 a.m. Experience a new perspective of the Old Spanish Quarries at Anastasia State Park in relation to the famous Castillo de San Marcos and the survival of St. Augustine. This informative program with a fun and knowledgeable ranger will bring the history of the quarry to life as you learn about the amazing work that occurred in the Old Spanish Quarries and the architecture that influenced the history of St. Augustine. After checking in at the ranger station, please meet for the program in the quarry parking area by the front entrance gate. The program is free with regular park admission, which ranges from $8-$20. Fins and Freedom Sail

Schooner Freedom Charters and Marineland Dolphin Adventure, the dolphin experts, are bringing a one-of-a-kind sailing experience. Guests will hear from Marineland educators about the world’s first oceanarium. Also, guests will learn about dolphins and the conservation efforts at Marineland. Complimentary beverages included. Passengers may bring snacks or a picnic. Ticket price includes the sail and admission into Marineland. The boat departs at 2:15 p.m. from the St. Augustine Municipal Marina and lasts two hours. STYX and Don Felder at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre

Run for Peace 5K

This 5K race begins at 8 a.m., and the course is fast, flat and fun. The race starts in front of the St. Johns County Pier and takes runners through scenic beach neighborhoods and then back to the pier. Registration ranges from $35-$25. 350 A1A Beach Blvd., St. Augustine

The Black Angels with Special Guest Black Lips at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Backyard Stage 

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre welcomes The Birds and the Bees Tour featuring indie psychedelic garage rock groups The Black Angels with Black Lips in an exhibition of sight and sound live from the Backyard Stage at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.
