Get ready for the popular Pirate Gathering this weekend, November 6th-8th where the pirates take over downtown St. Augustine!
Hear ye, hear ye, and attention all pirates, scallywags, survy dogs, wenches, and other assorted undesirables of the sea! Come ashore to Francis Field dressed in your best piratical pirattitude and see the mermaids, sword battles, black powder demonstrations, Blackbeard’s kid’s show, pirate stunt shows and much more!
The official Pirate Gathering Website is full of information – the schedule of events includes a full lineup as for participants! Were talking live music, parades, pirate battles of all kinds and a serious RUM-loving good time!
The Gathering is hosted by The Ancient City Privateers and has grown more and more popular each year drawing pirate fanatics from all over the U.S. and if you are staying with us at the Agustin this weekend, you are right in the heart of all the action! No doubt will you see pirates strolling Cuna Street heading off to the event dressed to the max and even battling in the streets!
Admission to the main event at Francis Field is only $5.00 for adults. The hours are Friday, 1-10 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The events field is located at 29 West Castillo Drive in downtown St. Augustine just walking distance of the inn.
