Our Favorite St. Augustine Parks

Project Swing Park

Just a seven-minute walk from the Agustin Inn, Project Swing Park is a great place to bring the kids for a few hours. One of the best St. Augustine Parks in the area, this 23,000 square foot playground is a child’s dream come true. If you’re traveling with young ones, they will love climbing all over this state-of-the-art playground. Even if you’re traveling without kids in tow, you can stop by and enjoy a picnic at one of the many tables in the park.

Plaza de la Constitución

The Plaza de la Constitución is the city’s main park, and it’s only a five-minute walk from our gorgeous downtown inn. This is arguably the best park in the area as it has something for everyone. You can bring your picnic with you and sit on the lawn before exploring the Governor’s House Cultural Center and Museum. You can also pop into the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine. This is one of the greatest areas to spend an afternoon outside while also exploring the history of the city.

Flagler College Lawn

Connected to the Flagler College campus is a gorgeous area of grass where students and locals are often seen relaxing, soaking in the sun, and enjoying a bite to eat. The college itself is an architectural wonder with hints of the city’s Spanish culture. You can easily walk here from the Agustin Inn to explore the campus and spend some time people-watching on the lawn.
