An otherwise peaceful time of year, St. Augustine will celebrate big throughout the month of May! Romanza, Romanza… This word means many things in different languages but all ties in with “love” – The festival is named for our love of the nation’s oldest city – St. Augustine, Florida!
“Romanza” in Spanish, is a love song.
“Romanza” in Italian, is a love affair.
“Romanza” in St. Augustine means Music, Dance, Theatre, Art, Cuisine, Heritage and Romance.
Join us in Saint Augustine, FL for this amazing event and festival of the arts from May 6 through the 15, 2016 for a celebration of art and music in America’s Most Romantic City!
This exclusive St. Augustine event features more than 100 events and exhibits by dozens of organizations.
Daily events include music and dance performances, concerts, art shows, dramatic productions and much more at locations throughout the city.
Many events are free and admission is required for the others.
One of the Headliners for this amazing event is the Big Orange Chorus on May the 9th!
The Big Orange Chorus from Jacksonville is a fun and friendly group of guys who enjoy singing barbershop and other styles of music. As a chapter of the international Barbershop Harmony Society, their goal is to produce quality singing in an entertaining way. They also offer an opportunity for men to learn and improve their vocal abilities . They are widely known for their highly-rated shows which are presented in top-notch venues to well-established, receptive audiences. The Big Orange Chorus has been crowned Sunshine District Chorus Champions in both 2014 and 2015 and placed ninth in the world at the Pittsburgh International Chorus Competition. Two of their quartets will be singing in the show: Slice! and Four More Guys. The Big Orange are also known for their beautiful singing Valentines delivered to delighted recipients on February 14.
