If not, they have plenty of free parking and its not too long of a walk right from the inn, which gives you more time to take in breathtaking sights along the way!
The Distillery is in the Old Ice Plant building on Riberia Street in St. Augustine, Florida. They have painstakingly refurbished it into a real historic gem and will offer tastings and tours daily! The tour is FREE of charge and includes tastings of their handcrafted spirits.
On site is the Ice Plant Restaurant and Bar, which has been opened for a few months now. If you haven’t been – GO!
Inspired by the historical period of the early 20th century, the idea is to reintroduce guests to a time where the experience of having a cocktail and a bite to eat was both healthful and enjoyable.
The Ice Plant Focuses on the art and craft of mixing exceptional local ingredients in precise measurements to create perfect and unique flavor profiles. Fresh, house-pressed juices and a wide assortment of house-made bitters and specially developed syrups, result in stunningly sensual drinks here. Attention is paid to the smallest of details with three different kinds of ice, including a nod to the building’s original use as an Ice Plant, with a 300 lb. block of ice and custom cut cubes.
Located adjacent to the St Augustine Distillery and in the original “Ice Plant” building which dates back to the 1900′s, the bar and restaurant is a visual as well as culinary experience like none other in Florida.
The building has been freshly-renovated to bring it back to the look and feel of the turn of the century. Each room down to the restrooms makes you feel as if you’ve stepped back into earlier times!
