Beginning March 11th, the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum will be offering a monthly tour, "Navigating Lighthouses by Sail" in conjunction with the tall ship Schooner Freedom. Set sail from the St. Augustine City Marina and let a lighthouse educator share the stories of ancient sailors and how they used lighthouses to guide their way. There is no set sailing path; the Schooner crew goes with the wind, which leads to a different journey every time.
Complimentary soda, water, beer, and wine are included; passengers may bring snacks or a picnic. After your sail, visit the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum to complete your journey. Tickets are $50 per person and include sail and admission to the lighthouse and museum. Click here to purchase your tickets today!
In addition to this amazing lighthouse adventure, the Schooner Freedom offers two our sails seven days a week (weather permitting) from the St. Augustine Municipal Marina at 12:15 and 4:15 pm. These tickets and reservations can be arranged through the innkeeper.
The St Augustine Lighthouse and Museum is also open daily from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Admission includes the 219 stair climb to the top to experience a break taking panorama view of St. Augustine and the Maritime Museum.
