The Best Ways to Get Around St. Augustine

Explore the City On Foot

One of the easiest and most inexpensive ways to explore the city is on foot! The historic district of St. Augustine is very walkable. From the pedestrian-only thoroughfare that is St. George Street to the long cobblestone sidewalks that lead to the bay, you won’t have much trouble walking the city. Plus, when you stay at Agustin Inn, many of the best attractions in St. Augustine are just a short walk away! You won’t find a better quality bed and breakfast in such a convenient location anywhere else in town. Hitch a Ride on the Trolley

There are two options when it comes to trolleys in St. Augustine. The first is the Old Town Trolley Tours. It features 23 stops and runs from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. This St. Augustine hop-on-hop-off tour also features accessible vehicles with ramps and lifts. If you need an accessible vehicle, they suggest you call ahead to get that schedule. When you purchase a ticket to this tour, you can also use their St. Augustine beach bus, which includes stops at the Alligator Farm, St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum, and (of course!) the beach. Don’t forget, if you purchase your Old Town Trolley ticket from Agustin Inn, you’ll have the option of getting a three-day pass!

The other choice for a St. Augustine trolley is Ripley Believe it or Not’s Red Train Tour. This features 20 stops, as well as a shuttle that goes to Anastasia Island.

During the First Friday Art Walk, both Old Town Trolley Tours and Ripley’s Sightseeing Trains offer free St. Augustine shuttle service to most of the participating galleries.
