Career Builder Challenge Weekend Honoring Bob Hope
This is an exciting week in the nation’s oldest city where the St Augustine events focus on theatre productions and much more!
The World Golf Hall of Fame is celebrating the Career Builder Challenge, formerly the Bob Hope Classic. Guests can enjoy the museum’s Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory exhibition while watching the tournament in the Bob Hope Theater. In a nod to Hope’s years of service entertaining the U.S. military, the Hall of Fame is giving active and retired military free admission to the museum. Saint Augustine Film Festival
This four-day film festival takes place at various locations throughout St. Augustine, including the Corazon Cinema and Cafe, 36 Granada St., Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College, 14 Granada St., and the Gamache-Koger Theatre, 50 Sevilla St. The festival begins at 10 a.m. each day. On Friday, the opening gala will be at the Lightner Museum, 75 King St. On Saturday, there will be a party at the Solarium at Flagler College, 74 King St., and on Sunday there will be a closing party at Markland House, 102 King St. The gala and parties are only available with the All Access Pass. Passes to see films range from $180-$60. Individual tickets to see the films at Lewis Auditorium range from $10-$7. Visit the website for the films and information.
Fool for Love at Limelight Theatre
A classic show with a twist, Sam Shepard’s Fool for Love is a western based in the Mojave Desert. Performance times at the Limelight Theatre are 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. There is a preview day on January 18. Tickets are $26 general admission, $24 seniors and $20 students and military. 11 Old Mission Ave., St. Augustine 904-825-1164
