Attend the Blessing of the Fleet
Each year, St. Augustine kicks-off their Easter traditions on Palm Sunday with a Blessing of the Fleet at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina. Following Palm Sunday Mass at Plaza de la Constitución, local religious leaders and the St. Augustine Royal Family lead a procession to the marina. A fleet of decorated ships patiently awaits the procession to receive their blessing for luck and safe journeys.
Watch the St. Augustine Easter Parade of Horses & Carriages
Also known by its Spanish name, “Parada de Los Caballos y Coches,” the St. Augustine Easter Parade is an event you won’t want to miss! The parade is the second oldest Easter parade in the United States and features an array of exciting sights. During the annual family-friendly event, you can see the city’s carriage horses, the Easter bunny, local marching bands, drill teams, and even St. Augustine’s Royal Family!
Attend Sunrise Easter Service on the Beach
Start your Easter Sunday with a sunrise service on one of St. Augustine’s beautiful beaches! Sunrise services are open to the public, and they take place on Crescent Beach and Vilano Beach.
