Wonderful Celtic music from the likes of Irish/Scottish born and bred Alhannach to the local Celtic bank Rathkeltair, clans displaying tartans, shields and crests, athletes performing classic Highland games, Celtic culinary delights and handmade crafts — all this and more will be enjoyed during the 2013 St. Augustine Celtic Music and Heritage Festival which will take place at our own Francis Field on March 9 and 10, 2013. An ambitious and varied schedule will include at least 8 Celtic musical groups, Celtic dancing competitions, wonderful strong-man Highland games such as the Scottish hammer throw and the caber toss (kilt-clad Scots and Irish throwing end over end a long tapered pine log!), an Irish comedy and of course the St. Patrick's Day Parade! Gates open at 11:00AM at Francis Field on Castillo Drive both days and stay open until 10:00PM on the 9th and 7:30PM on the 10th. See you there!
